Kirkland, Washington (December 2025) — Icom America is proud to announce the launch of the IC-7300MK2 HF/50/(70) MHz transceiver, an enhanced evolution of the groundbreaking IC-7300. As the first amateur radio to popularize RF direct sampling technology, the original IC-7300 became one of the best-selling HF transceivers in history, surpassing 100,000 units shipped worldwide. The new IC-7300MK2 builds upon that legacy with significant advancements in performance, connectivity, and operating flexibility.

A New Benchmark in Signal Purity and Receiver Performance

Engineered for today’s demanding operators, the IC-7300MK2 features substantial improvements in key performance metrics. Reciprocal Mixing Dynamic Range (RMDR) has been boosted by more than 12 dB, while transmit phase noise has been reduced by over 12 dB.

The MK2 design also reduces internal heat generation, supporting stable, long-duration operation without performance degradation, even during intensive contest sessions or extended expedition use.

Expanded Connectivity and Advanced Operating Features

The IC-7300MK2 introduces several new hardware and software capabilities designed to match modern operator expectations:

  • External Display Output (HDMI™ Port) for larger, easier-to-view spectrum and waterfall displays
  • Built-in CW Decoder, enabling immediate translation of Morse code signals
  • USB Type-C™ Port for simplified computer connectivity and power options
  • LAN Port for network-based operation and remote control
  • Dedicated Receive Antenna Connectors for enhanced flexibility in antenna configurations
  • APF (Audio Peak Filter) for improved CW intelligibility, especially in crowded band conditions

Together, these upgrades bring high-end features traditionally found in larger, more expensive transceivers into the compact IC-7300MK2 platform.

Redefining What a Compact HF Transceiver Can Do

By combining exceptional RF performance, modern connectivity, and refined CW capabilities, the IC-7300MK2 sets a new standard in the sub-$2,000 HF transceiver category. Compact, efficient, and remarkably capable, it continues Icom’s tradition of innovation while meeting the evolving needs of amateur radio operators worldwide.
