Ultimate Safety at Sea with Icom’s New MA-510TR Class A & B AIS Transponder

KIRKLAND, Wash. (September 2020) – When out on the water, you want the peace of mind that comes with knowing you have an Icom AIS transponder on board. An AIS transponder automatically receives class A & B information broadcast by other AIS-equipped vessels and base stations, while your vessel's static/dynamic information are being transmitted as class B. AIS signals can reach where other radar cannot; a vessel hidden behind an island or another larger watercraft are easily spotted by Icom's new MA-510TR. This transponder is the perfect addition to any vessel –– commercial, open-water leisure, fishing, and cruising.

Features of the MA-510TR include: NMEA 2000™, a 4.3" color TFT wide-viewing-angle display, simplified GPS navigation, silent mode, USB-connectivity, and it is the same size as our previous model, the MA-500TR. Other safety features include the Man Overboard navigation function, Collision Alarm function, and the Anchor Watch function. The MA-510TR also comes supplied with a GPS antenna.

Boating enthusiasts choose Icom for their legendary durability, quality, dependability, and ease of use. Check out this and other risk management solutions in our ever-expanding marine product line.
