Icom Exhibits New Innovative Marine Products at 2012 Miami Boat Show

BELLEVUE, WA – Icom America, an industry-leading manufacturer of two-way radio communications, is attending the 2012 Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail. From February 16-20, Icom will be at Booth #1687 exhibiting a new line of radio equipment with advanced features such as active noise canceling, Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and global positioning system (GPS).

Icom is pleased to announce our new intuitive menu-driven radios at one of the largest and prestigious boat shows in the world, says Icom America National Marine Sales Manager David McLain. We are confident that our end users will enjoy the DSC features our radios offer and how easy they are to use.

Icom's latest marine line integrates an intuitive soft-key interface permitting faster access to radio functions. Other practical features include enhanced audio quality and GPS functionality. Safety elements are built-in such as DSC, which allows users to send an emergency message at the touch of a button. Icom's newest marine radios receive an IPX7 Submersible rating allowing water immersion for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter.

The Miami Boat Show is sponsored by NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association), the largest producer of boat shows and prominent advocate of the recreational boating industry. The event hosts Icom and roughly 2,000 exhibitors over three Florida locations: the Miami Beach Convention Center, the Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center and the Miamarina at Bayside. Approximately 3,000 boats will be on display alongside various marine-focused products ranging from electronics and accessories to nautical gifts and apparel.

In addition to product showcases and one-stop shopping, seminars, clinics and on-the-water training are scheduled throughout the show's duration. The interactive Discover Boating Resource Center offers class topics ranging from powerboat handling to beginners sailing to helmsmanship and underwater safety.

Over 105,000 guests are expected to attend the 2012 Miami Boat Show. Admission for Premier Day (Thursday, February 16) is $35.00 and $18.00 per adult for each remaining event day. Two-day and five-day adult discount passes are available and admittance for youth (15 years and younger) is free.
