New Icom F5021 Offers Enhanced Features and Flexibility for the Everyday LMR User
Bellevue, WA – Icom America is pleased to announce the new F5021
series mobile radio, a basic analog radio with added features and flexibility for the
everyday LMR user.
Ideal for public safety, large industry and light commercial systems, the F5021 packs
a powerful 50W (VHF), 45W (UHF) output, multiple signaling and advancing scanning into a
rugged, compact body. An optional OPC-1939 D-SUB 15-pin ACC cable gives operators the ability
to change operating channels remotely using an external device.
“The F5021 appeals to customers looking for an affordable radio with external channel

always asking for channel changing and a 15-pin cable with flexible, programmable pin
assignments.”
The optional 15-pin cable also allows for ignition sensing, external PTT, PC command, horn honk,
audio output and modulated signal input, depending on programming.
Other features include wide frequency coverage, 128 memory channels and wide/narrow channel spacing.
As a companion to the F3021 series portable, the F5021 series mobile radio joins Icom America's
